Does India have cacao farming/plantation?

Yes, India has been farming cacao beans for the past 40+ years. Mostly Andhra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Karnataka states are doing the cacao plantation in India.

What is couverture chocolate?

Couverture chocolate is considered as pure chocolate. It has the real cocoa butter percentage. Cocoa butter is naturally found in cacao beans. Depending upon the chocolate base, the percentage of the cocoa butter is changed along with cocoa solids. Usually, couverture chocolate has these ingredients, cocoa solids, cocoa butter, & sugar.

What is a compound chocolate?

Compound chocolate is also made with cocoa solids, but it will not have cocoa butter. Instead of cocoa butter, they add vegetable oils, artificial sweeteners.

What are the benefits of Cocoa butter?

Cocoa butter has rich fatty acids, which are good for the skin. Many cosmetic companies use Cocoa butter in their products which basically improves the health of the skin, adds moisture skin, and also helps to prevent stretch marks on the skin. Because of its high in demand, many companies extract cocoa butter from cocoa beans and sell them to cosmetic companies. The remaining cocoa without cocoa butter is sold by adding artificial fats such as vegetable oils.

What are the benefits of dark chocolate?

Dark chocolate is considered a high Nutritious food, it has high antioxidants. Research shows that it has the capacity to improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. It helps reduce heart attacks. Since it has a high cocoa butter, naturally it helps the skin.
